  • 1986 Scott Perry started teaching a language exchange program at UCLA
  • 1991 Scott Perry Joined the JET program in Kumagaya, Japan
  • 1992 Started STEP English conversation school for adults and kids
  • 1992 Started teaching two students for a Jr. high speech contest
  • 1994 surpassed 800 total students after the 2nd year.
  • 1995 Moved to Pittsburgh and began online lessons.
  • 1999 Established Savant pronunciation school in Los Angeles, CA
  • 1998 Began working as a bank executive while teaching in the evening. 
  • 2001 Began working for Citigroup while teaching in the evening.
  • 2002 Scott Perry created a best selling product, "Listening Power"
  • 2003 Developed pronunciation analysis program called Soundwave 
  • 2006 Company name changed to Scott Perry Academy
  • 2011 Started working with Japanese actors in Movies
  • 2014 The company moved to Honolulu, Hawaii
  • 2017 Company was purchased by its parent, Ascott Group Intl.
  • 2018 The Vertice Society was created. Society for the top 1%
  • 2019 Developed the Perriego research group to study Language
  • 2023 Started a talent agency for Japanese Entertainers 
  • CURRENTLY Planning a language and Entertainment Company.
